Online soccer betting tips for Burnley – Brighton

Burnley hosts Brighton & Hove Albion at the Turf Moor in a game from the first round of the Premier League. Here are our online soccer betting tips for this match. Here we go!

The manager Sean Dyche starts his 9th year at Burnley. This is an impressive achievement for any modern head coach – this is a profession where you move a lot. It’s not the case for Dyche, though – he transformer himself to a modern Burnley legend. He didn’t just reach a Premier League promotion with the club, but he also kept it in the elite division for few years already. Now the goal is the same – Burnley have to remain in the Premier League.

On the summer transfer market Burnley made one big signing already. The club paid 14 million euro to Stoke City for the 20-years old centre-back Nathan Collins. The young Irishman is regarded a huge prospect for the future which explains the hefty fee Burnley paid for him. Collins is a player who will continue to grow in the upcoming years so he could turn out to be a revelation for the Premier League side.

At the same time Burnley also got the experienced goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey from Crystal Palace and Scunthorpe’s centre-back Jacob Bedeau.

Some players left the Turf Moor as well. The centre-back Ben Gibson chose to move to newcomers Norwich City while Robbie Brady left the club as a free agent.

There are some more transfer rumours around Burnley at this moment. According to the information in the press, Sean Dyche is eager to sign another young player – the 19-years old left-back Josh Doig. The Scottish defender currently plays for Hibernian in the Premiership, but he could taste some Premier League football really soon. Josh Doig is a player with a sweet left foot who could be a solid prospect for the future.

During their pre-season Burnley played five friendlies and won all five of them. In their last game Sean Dyche’s boys faced Tranmere Rovers away from home and celebrated a 2-1 win. In three of these five friendlies Burnley didn’t concede any goals. It’s true that the level of opposition was not the highest, but it’s still a good stat before the start of the 2021/22 season.

Burnley are not a club which have any big football stars, but they have a team with some huge passion. Most of the players in the squad are British which helps Sean Dyche to manage them even more easy. This is going to be Dyche’s main goal in the upcoming season – to keep the fire in these players and once again keep the team in the Premier League. It’s never easy, but Dyche already made it few times – he’s got the know-how.

Brighton & Hove Albion start another Premier League season with the same goal in mind as Burnley – surviving. The manager Graham Potter already did it twice with the Seagulls, so now he has to find a way to do it for a third time as well. Brighton & Hove are surely not among the best teams in England, but they have enough potential to survive again.

Brighton & Hove know that surviving would be very difficult without some new signings. So they did the job. The club paid 23 million euro to Austrian side RB Salzburg for the 23-years old striker Enock Mwepu. The Zambian forward is regarded a solid investment for the future because of his young age and his performances in the Austrian Bundesliga. If he’s managed correctly by Graham Potter, Enock Mwepu could turn out to be another big African star in English football. Surely Brighton & Hove’s fans hope it’s going to happen – they will need his goals.

Another player the Seagulls signed this summer is the young Dutch goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen. The 21-years old arrives from Ajax, but he’s not a product of the famous youth academy of the Dutch giants. In his youth years he played for Emmen before being signed at Ajax. He was unable to win a place in Erik ten Hag’s team, so he chose to move to another country. Most likely Scherpen won’t be a first choice at Brighton & Hove Albion at this age, but he’s a great investment for the future. He’s over 2 metres tall which makes him seriously impressive in this regard.

A player who Brighton & Hove will surely miss is the influential centre-back Ben White. The talented defender decided to take the next step in his career and signed a contract with Arsenal. The Seagulls will get 50 million pounds for his services, but the question is this – how are they going to replace him? White was crucial for Brighton & Hove’s defense, but now he’s going to be missed.

Some other players left the American Express as well. Alireza Jahanbakhsh moved to Feyenoord in the Eredivisie while Davy Propper and Mathew Ryan left the club as free agents. Matt Clarke, Jose Izquierdo and Viktor Gyokeres left Brighton & Hove as well. That’s some deadwood cut by the club.

The French striker Neal Maupay remains one of Brighton & Hove’s key players in attack. Last season he scored 8 Premier League goals for the Seagulls and seriously helped them survive. This is going to be Maupay’s third season at the club and he hopes to reach double digits again.

In their biggest friendly game this summer Brighton & Hove Albion faced the new Scottish champion Rangers. Graham Potter’s team traveled to the Ibrox in Glasgow and the game ended with a 0-0 draw. It was a good friendly for Brighton & Hove against a very solid opponent.

That’s our online soccer betting tips for the Premier League fixture between Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion at the Turf Moor. Both teams kept their managers and key players from the previous season, so now they expect another race for survival. Burnley are having the advantage to play at home here, but Brighton & Hove are tough. It should be a really good game between two teams with a similar quality at the moment.
